About Me

Experience

I am an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor covering a spectrum of psychological difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders and early trauma. I have specialist interest in working with clients that experience difficulties with trust, intimacy and dependency.

Prior to counselling I have worked with young children within an educational environment and have supported people affected by emotional and physical abuse within a well known National Organisation.

I see clients at my practices in Dulwich and Clapham as well as at a London based charity.

My experience with working with people affected by deep emotional trauma, who come to experience new understanding and healing about the past from talking with a trained therapist, is that it can lead to new ways of understanding and experiencing life.

Why Therapy?

Therapy can be a rewarding process of discovery, healing and change. Talking with a trained therapist enables you to better understand your past and to provide new or alternative view points and from this, a healing process that can lead to new ways of understanding and experiencing life.

Having trained as an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, I am able to work alongside you to identify and understand your various concerns and the nature of your difficulties. While working with mindfulness and body awareness, I draw on various models of humanistic, psychodynamic and Gestalt therapy. I look to explore what is happening in your life with curiosity and acceptance and allow you to bring whoever you are and whatever you need, to a place where we can look at it all with respect, integrity and without assumption.

I have helped clients deal with a broad range of issues, including:--

Depression and anxiety
Difficulties in relationship, intimacy, trust, dependency and loneliness
Difficulties with low self-esteem
Conflicts around abuse
Domestic abuse
Coming to terms with loss and bereavement
Relational trauma
Understanding and managing anger
Mindfulness
